Prior to Pivot, Jenn worked for Print Resources as its marketing director. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in Marketing and Graphic Design.

Jennifer Stringer is a seasoned communications professional with 15+ years in the communications field. She is the Account Manager and Social Media Coordinator at Gracie Communications. Her portfolio includes print, online and social media campaigns. She is an idealist who still believes that words have the power to change the world.

Jennifer has volunteered with Girls, Inc. and for the past three years she has been a mentor with the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce Common Goal Initiative. She lives on the westside of Indianapolis with her husband Kevin, two children and her puggle, Jett Jenkins.

Her favorite quote: Ancora imparo. Translation: I am still learning. Supposedly, these were Michelangelo’s words at the age of 87. Jennifer is still learning, too – about writing, about people and about how to be a better human being.

Jennifer is Director of Community and Government Relations at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). In this role she works to enhance IUPUI’s profile in the community and beyond through community and corporate events, strategic communications, partnerships with community organizations and building relations with elected officials.

Previously she was the Director of Marketing & Communications at the Indiana Housing Finance Authority, a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Jill Long and an Associate Producer for documentary films. Jennifer holds a M.A. in Media Studies from the New School University and a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University.

Jennifer currently serves on the boards of the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, Rebuilding Together Indianapolis, and the Nora Northside Community Council. Her husband, Eric Goldsmith, is an electronic recycler and they have two children – daughter Reed and son Meyer.
